Sport Brands

Hello, I am James. Now i am going to be doing Sport Brands!!!!! For e.g. Nike, Adidas, Under Armour. Only one blog about it though sorry.

NIKE

NIKE began as Blue Ribbon Sports in 1964, founded by Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman. It wasn’t until May 30th 1971 that the company took the name NIKE, which is the name of the Greek goddess of victory.NIKE’s headquarters are located near Beaverton, Oregon, and employs more than 44,000 people around the world.

ADIDAS

Adidas turns 65 years old today, and the German athletic brand is still churning out sneakers, apparel, and sports gear. After more than six decades in the game, Adidas has amassed a huge history.

We know Stan Smith, the man with the ever-presentable moustache, as the guy behind Adidas’ most iconic tennis sneaker. But the sneaker wasn’t always named after Stan, it was originally given to French tennis star Robert Haillet.

It’s the 30th anniversary of the Micropacer, a 1984 runner known for its computer display across the forefoot. Way before Nike was using technology in its sneakers, the Micropacer was letting runners know their pace and calories burned.

UNDER ARMOUR

Founder and CEO Kevin Plank began the business in his grandmother’s basement in Washington, D.C.’s Georgetown neighborhood. Under Armour’s headquarters has train tracks that run through it. When a train is coming, you’ll often see employees speed-walking across the tracks to be on time for their meetings.

Under Armour’s first product in a film was a jockstrap, and it was seen in the 1999 movie “Any Given Sunday.”Baltimore is home to not only Under Armour, but three big-name athletes: Cal Ripken Jr, Ray Lewis and Michael Phelps.Image result for nike wallpaperImage result for adidasImage result for under armourBY:James
